MDJunction to me

neshama48"Having Crohn's Disease for over 26 years, in the first few years, it lonely and isolating.
Though now my disease is in a near perfect remission, my friends and family are sympathetic to me, but I can not talk to them about this disease. When I stumbled across MD Junction, and met others who had the same disease I was not alone in battling the disease. MD Junction is like a second family, without the judgement or guilt of having Crohn's Disease, but they do give you love and support.

I wanted to state that...keeping copies of everything is a good idea. Even if it's not related to your SSD case.

~ When returning things ordered online, be sure to make a copy of the return slip, mark the date of return on it. And if you had to contact the company for any reason, get the person's name that you talk with.

~ Any discrepency regarding anything- such as a phone bill, mortgage payment, taxes, etc. Document what's happened.

It's sad that our world has come to this. But, I can tell you that companies out there count on the fact that we won't do this. And there are those that will scam and/or take advantage of you.

And YES! I've learned this from experiences throughout my life. Angry

One example: In Dec. 2006 we lost our home and had to file bankruptcy. - Well, to this date, the mortgage company has not removed the hundreds of thousands of dollars from our credit reports. It's bad enough to have 'bankruptcy' on those reports in certain areas. But, to still have this debt showing- it's killing our FICO Score. Therefore, we are paying higher costs for auto and renters insurance. -- I have documentation of EVERYTHING that the mortgage company did and didn't do, of our credit reports from all the 4 major credit report companies, copies of documentation of trying to get those amounts removed, copies of everything. Beleive me, it's coming in handy. I'm working on getting legal help in getting those removed. Had I not had the documentation.... Ugh!

If you choose not to do this, that's fine. I just simply want to point out that it can be of vital importance later on. Even if it's years later.

I just recently got my letter for fully flavored but have yet to receive the other papers. Here's applied on may27,2010 n my onset date was/is jan.1,08 so when I ask them for copies of the stuff n of the denials they get an attitude and they're unwilling to work with me. All I want to know is how much longer do I have to wait I just had my hearing on 3/5/12 and was approved/fully flavored on 3/21/12. So now how much longer n will I ever get the paper work? Dizzy

Fibro, you are correct on keeping copies and noting everything on who you spoke with, time and what was said. Most credit reports want be removed for 7 years. And they go strictly by the book. I'm not sure when going bankrupt makes a different. I no now to go bankrupt you have to go to class or do the thing on the Internet. My girlfriend did hers here on my computer and it was quit a long process. My understanding is if there is wrong info on credit report they will remove.

curious, Letter/mail will be coming soon. Did you not get the denial letter when you was denie? It has each diagnosis and what/why their decision was made. Those you should have already received when you were denied. But as far as the other letters you will get. Keep checking bank acct. Happy that things worked out in your favor. You can ask your SS office in your state for a copy, most come on a CD. You can also go to SS office and ask to view your file. Then ask them to give you a paper copy. With me I was called by the SS office to verify that my banking info was correct on a Mon I think. I ask how long it would be then and the lady told me that Fri, which was the same week. It took 2 week to get funds. I was just thinking 12 weeks, but things worked out different. Now, they do say 12 weeks to receive funds. I guess it all depends on the work load. But hang in there, at least you know that you have been approve.

Thanks I surely will hang in there... I'm just worried because the Case worker n the reps refuse to give me any info about the claim n they also keep telling me its gonna be 60 days. But here's my thing I just wanna know what's going on. I got denied in. June"10" and I filed for and appeal then feb 2011 I got denied again the filed a reconsideration then got denied again then the same month I contacted a lawyer n we went to court march 5,2012 n we got approved on the 19th of march then I got a call on the 21st saying I was approved n granted fully flavored... I receive the letter on march 28th 2012 but that's all so I called my caseworker to see if I needed to update anything and her attitude was nasty Ermm n she wouldn't tell me anything so I called back in the rep(general one that answered the phone) told me it was in the payment center Smile. I just don't get why she wouldn't tell me anything but now that I know its in the payment center in baltimore I'm just ready for it to get in my account!!! I suffer from Major Depression,B disc in my back, margarines, fibromylagia, paranoid schizophrenia, bad knees, etc... The list goes on also diabetic, nerve damage, not to mention a dent in my head ... I stay in pain everyday.. But I truly appreciate the positive advice n the words of encouragement Cool. Also they never said my condition wasn't disabling they just kept saying I didn't have enough work credits, they said u need 40 n I have 20 work credits... So now that I've been granted fully flavored I wonder what's gonna happen nowErmm

About the work credits its such a shame all this dragging of the feet since may27'10 and the onset was/is jan.'08. I wonder when they're trying to figure out back pack how far will they go back? Also I was told I might not even get back pay cos ssdi doesn't give back pay n if I do they're gonna split it into three payments... I don't understand that so could someone help me understand that part

You will get your back pay with SSDI. SSI is the one where you dont really get much back pay I think.I think SSI back pay comes every 6 months, because if Im not mistaking I think you only get 2,000 at a time. And with SSDI You get all your back pay in one lump sum. At least I think this is how it goes from what Ive been reading on here.Hope Im right! Im still waiting my self to get a letter about my hearing or a approval letter.Im just tired of all the stress.Hope I hear something sometime this month.

It is really not the payment center it is the Law. Sometimes case can be pulled by the review dept. They want tell unless they are calling you to verify your banking info that way they won't give you the wrong info.
