After this very long, long wait my case has finally been assigned to an ALJ Judge. No date for hearing yet but hopefully it will be soon.

I originally filed in June of 2006.

I'm scared and get sick just thinking about it.

YAY!!! I'll say a prayer that you don't have to go before the judge. I hope it's settled before that.

When I hired my attorney she told me that there are on 3 ALJ judges in my area that hear cases and one doesn't believe in FM. Guess which one I drew?

I think my own attorney doesn't believe in FM. I hired her last August and everytime I tried to contact her to see how things are going I got a terse reply that said I have to show the judge that I've done everything I can to get well. Since I've tried everything from physical therapy to accupuncture and everything in between I don't know what else I can do.

I have had this for 11 yrs and have not been able to work for the last 3. I have tons of documentation and a really good letter of disability from an FM Specialist that says I have the worst form of this disease and that I'm never going to get well.

I have slowly lost everything because I am unable to work. I'm making myself sick with worry. I hope that I'll be able to get it on the CFS as there is a SS ruling for disability that I meet. That is SSR 99-2p if you want to look it up.

Good luck to everyone who is trying. If I lose I won't stop there.

Hey sleepwalking, when's your hearing? I'll make sure I keep you in my thoughts.

I'm glad to hear that if you lose, you will continue to fight. Smile

And youza! Sorry to hear that you got a judge that doesn't beleive in Fibro. Hopefully, your documents will take care of everything. And if you attorney doesn't represent you very well on the day of the hearing- try to be your own representative. Make sure the judge realizes what you can no longer do and that you have the documents from the specialist to prove it.

Hang tough!!

Thanks so much for your support. It means so much to me.

My hearing is on May 26.

I've been worrying so much about my attorney. Today I sent her a copy of the SS policy ruling on CFS because this all started with a bout of mono 11 yrs ago, and I believe I fit the criteria. That is ruling SSR 99-2p if anyone wants to look it up.

It is so frustrating that she won't tell me anything about what she is thinking. I do not even know if I ever filled out the SS forms properly on my own. I don't know if she has all the relevant records. Every time I've asked questions I've been told quite tersly that if they need anything they will contact me.

In the meantime I'm also worrying about losing my medical insurance and my home. Have started listing my furniture on craigslist hoping I'll be able to raise enough money to make rent. It took me 2 days to write down all the manufactures of my prescriptions to see if I can contact them and maybe get some assistance. It seems so overwhelming. But must press on.

Sigh.....
