@wormie, I doubt it because his SSDI is probably considered too much. He might qualify for SNAP or "food stamps" but I bet it won't be that much even if he qualifies?

@fenderfan782, I completely understand. I don't think I would be comfortable living with anyone either. I have the same mental health disorders as yourself.

You said $210 currently goes towards a car payment. How much longer have you got on the car payments?

So far I've had three email replies, each saying that I need to meet an annual income that I can't. They also don't accept SSD.

Email replies from who fenderfan782? Are you talking about potential landlords?

Yep. I looked for apartments within my monthly SSD and the only ones that I could see affording told me no to disability and no, due to not meeting the annual income.

@Fenderfan, I find that odd that landlords don't want people on SSDI. I know several landlords around my area and they all PREFER people on SS because to them the SS is more of a 'guarantee' than someone working and being employed one day to the next in todays economy.

Allot of landlords will not take people on ssdi, because if you don't pay your rent and skip town they cannot take you to court because they cannot garnish your SS check. That's why it is very hard to get any credit when you are on ssdi.

*sigh* ... I'm starting to get the hopeless feeling again.

It's so tough. You all know this so I'm sure you can relate to what I mean.

You just feel lost, downtrodden, trapped, no way out and much more.

I DO appreciate your replies though. Thank you for that Smile
