jaguar62"Here's a success story for you ,, there was this poor guy who all he ever did was work his butt off day in and day out, and would settle for no less than perfection which caused him to somewhat be an outcast among his peers.

But then people around him started to notice that failure wasn't an option and this guy could really get things moving in the direction they were supposed to go so when they had an issue they would hesitantly ask for assistance at first.

But as time went on more and more people started getting referred to him. Before you knew it he was recognized and he had a top executive job,Escalation Supervisor of the whole Eastern Coast of United States for a communications company was staying busy like he loved to do and helping people along the way and life was excellent, good salary and benefits ,loved going to work "everyday".

Then one day (it was a period of time ) it was over ...seemed like it disappeared in an instance (after being diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease at the age of 49) and it stayed that way forever it seemed and life was slowly deteriorating around him ..depressed , no motivation, no job, health issues getting progressively worse much faster than just Parkinson and then being told it has possibilities of being MSA (Multiple Systems Atrophy) well seeing as i wasn't working i started checking out sites online and just so happened on MDJunction and the Parkinsons Support Group and absolutely loved the forums and feed back from the GLs and found out it wasn't just poor me at all, it was lots of wonderful people who shared the same symptoms that i was and still am going thru every day but in a whole lot better more positive frame of mind . So after about a year of posting and reading the forums daily and meeting so many good people I knew i wanted to give back some of this well needed love that i had received , So I applied for a Group Leader Position and ...

I had a "new job" and its helping people as well as getting the necessary help I now require and I can do it 24 hrs a day if i want to ..HOW GOOD IS THAT .

THATS MY SUCCESS STORY/Testomonial
OH Yeah!I almost forgot the best part is the wonderful fellowship around the workplace,,

MDjunction has opened my eyes and offered me a new beginning to what was looking like a very dark end. thanks MDJ (and yes i do know where I would be without you.)

it was never sent bc ive been waiting for almost a month. finally i called monday and got it today. says

"your conditions result in some limitations in your ability to perform work related activites. while you can't do past work , you can perform work that is less demanding and not severe enough to keep you from working."

"your conditions result in some limitations in your ability to perform work related activites. though you can't do past work, you are able to do work that is less demanding. we determine your conditions are not severe enough to keep you from working."

they didn't even give me a list of things i could do! so...question. you know that last page in the appeal pack that gives you free space to write on it...Is it okay that I wrote what I thought and let them know how I felt and that apparently disability isn't aware of how debilitating si joint dysfunction is? i mean...i wrote it all in a big mess. I WANT to write "Can you please help me find a job where I can lay down all day and still get paid"...lol. they'll probably think im crazy...oh well! opinions?? i do go see a local attorney tomorrow.

Is this the first or second denial Heather? Sorry to hear about the denial! These initial denial letters that the majority get sound so generic. I recall my first two denials saying something similar. It can discourage you but don't let it. Appeal and keep going.

Look again at the Functional Residual Capacity form on the SSA website. Fill it in for yourself, and see if you can supply anecdotal information about your limitations. Then see if your primary care physician can substantiate any of your claims in his/her medical records--that carries a lot of weight.

i have to get a new one. my last one pretty much wouldn't help me with anything...including my health issues. i finally got refered back to my old neurologist. i will see what he says. i wish i could find a primary doc that doesn't get turned off by disability. sux that they are like that.

@Lost,on my first two denials the wording was exact word for word and I've seen other people on here and other forums post what their denial letter said and it was exactly the same as my two was word for word. So SS has to have standard denial letters.

EP - You mean I didn't get a special personalized denial letter?? LOL...

sorry..gotta try to laugh. im seeing an attorney tomorrow. i have a question - apparently they aren't familiar with how bad si joint dysfunction is, so i printed out some info from online creditable sources with the symptoms, the limitations one has with it, and the fact that it is "debilitating" per wikipedia..as per me! can i send this info along with the rest of my appeal papers? i also wrote notes on the printouts along side the treatment options which state i tried each one many times to no avail..also that my only options at this point would be burning the nerves (which im against doing bc the numbness in both legs) and then a fusion (which i don't want to do bc its only a 50/50 chance). thoughts?

@ Elvis, I agree (LOL). I remember Allsup telling me don't even worry about the first two denials if you get them.
