For those who read about my disability hearing in the appropriate thread about how harsh the judge was... My attorney and I have been talking about the hearing and he isn't sure that some of the issues the judge brought up were even completely legal for him to do so. My attorney said he has never seen such a raosting of an applicant before and he even lost sleep over the whole mess. Staying awake wondering why if someone has a winning case and did everything asked, and still lost, why it even mattered. Then we were thrown a huge bombshell this week...

We received a Fully Favorable decision!! Blew us away! Both of us were waiting for the denial so we could appeal under grounds of an unfair hearing and all be derned the judge approved it fully and completely!!!

Go figure, eh?

So if there is a moral here, it's this...just because the hearing is tough, don't get discouraged, there's always hope!

Now I get to play the rest of the waiting game of when will I get the next letter saying how much my payments are and when my schedule of deposits will be. That is harder than waiting for my "denial letter" to come, LOL!

LOL Heather! My lawyer has mentioned a few times how priceless the Judges face was when I told him I was reading his lips when he made the comment about how it didn't look like I was having any problems hearing at that time.

BTW - how is you ear/hearing? You had surgery right? Did your balance vertigo, tinnitus, and all that clear up? I think the worst part about the hearing problems has to be the loss of balance and vertigo. I can ignore the ringing and loud "bong" sounds, but I cannot ignore walking. I always feel like people who don't know me think I'm a drunk or something. No one can understand how horrible it is to try to walk when you feel like you are going to fall at any time! I feel like such a loser when I have to take one step at a time down stairs with a death grip on the handrail! After my third fall down the basement steps, my husband now does all the laundry. I haven't been down there in 2 years.

BTW - here's a pic of the screw when it was healing - not for the squeamish! I'll try to find a more recent one or take a new pic cuz it doesn't look that bad now that it is healed.

I've heard people say things like "My head's all screwed up today," but didn't realize that is what they meant!

ERVARGASNY - My hubby said, "That judge must have went home griping to his wife and she must have reamed him a new one for giving a mother of 3 such a hard time!" LOL!

SSLMD - Heehee, yup! My daughter loves to tell people, "Don't mind my Mom, she's screwed in the head!"

Thanks everyone! I am kind of confused though. Today I got a temp password thing in the mail, but from everything I've read, I thought I was supposed to get my award letter after the decision and before the password thing. Oh well, it will all get here eventually.
