Social Security Disability Advice Group

i called my worker and wanted to thank her for her patience with me and she told me that i can file an appeal on the decision. i told he that i didn't know i was denied but now i do. so apparently denials do go to quality review. i will appeal though as soon as i get the letter. i think my records were pretty strong so what do i do now? what is the process? do i have to get an attorney or what? im disappointed but im not giving up. this was initial application. after 8-9 months of waiting..denied. booo!!!!

Sorry to hear that. Yes go get you a good LOCAL attorney who specializes in SSDI.

Lawyer up on them fast. And sorry to hear this Heather. I never thought they would qr a denial. These sob's just keep my stomach rolling how they can just deny folks that paied into it for years. And when the time comes they need it they get refused. Its a total scam for the most part. They do this to get you to quit fighting for it.. Makes me sick !!

Is it possible you were approved but QR reversed the decision?

i don't think so. she knew i was denied and its still in QR. sucks...but im gonna get an attorney asap and fight. thanks guys.

Well, If its still in QR its possible you could still be approved,although its slim its possible.. Just trying to stay positive for you!

haha! i appreciate it. it would be amazing but unlikely. as soon as i get my letter i will contact a local ssdi attorney.

i will. im concerned bc i read that if a case is denied and sent to quality review it is almost impossible to get approved afterwards. i just don't get it. i have all these records from the past year and a half with my back and si joint issues and still in pain and depression and anxiety still seeing a doc and got denied. i just dont get it. if what i read is true then it is impossible almost for me to get approved no matter what now after QR has reviewed it and kept a denial. im still gonna try though. when i get my letter i will still see what an attorney says.
