When will I hear about medicare or backpay?

You should get an award letter that lists your benefit amount and how much back pay.I had my back pay,award letter,Medicare card and first monthly check all with in 6-8 weeks of getting judges favorable decision in the mail.

lol I am in the same boat..I got my decison letter on the 8th now waiting for award letter and money....I have a phone interview to add my daughter as my dependent..What I dont understand is she was on the first application. I was told I will get my award and then she will get hers....Crystal

I added my kids as dependents, but was told by ss that no money was left for the kids, only myself - strange, most people I know get dependent money.

that is strange..I know my daughter will get half of my benefit....so if I got 800 she would get 400. So we would get 1200 all together.That was explained to me

I know someone that is getting $670- herself and around $80 for her child.

Is your payment 800 per month? I think if it's higher amount the child gets half. My brother gets 1/2 for his child but he gets around 2500 a month just for himself.

Did you get your daughter's pay back yet?

April if you had it set up on direct deposit it could already be in your account by now. It took about a week to get my back pay. If I remember correct it was in my account before I got the letter. Oh yeah Elvis you ask me a question months ago about the review it was 7 years. It just clicked in my stupid head that you ask that and dont remember answering you.

Wolfman, That is cool you got the 7 year review too because that basically means you'll never see a review from what I've heard.

I received mind back pay within 2 weeks to the date on a Friday, received approve letter the next day on a Sat. Received letter with all amount info the following week also got Medicare card the same day and an extra help form. I looked over my letter I did not see anything about a review. Do you think maybe because of being approved for permanently disability? I'm not sure on that, whatever I deal with that when the times come. No sense of stress over something or question them, 2 or 7 years is a while off. Sometimes that open up a can of worms. Something all better left unsaid.

I did check my bank account on line -still nothing. I will check everyday LOL!

waiting for medicare, that will same us $300 per month.

reviews for disability -I'm not worried because i was told my condition just get's worse, good for ss but not for me!
