Social Security Disability Advice Group

I recieved a letter today from the Social Security Administration saying that they need more information to decide if they can pay me SSI. That I need to call a number or come to see them to give them more information and that in some states applying for SSI means that you are also applying for Medicaid. That if they deny my SSI than that means I cannot get Medicaid based on SSI.Can someone help me did anybody get the same response and what happened for them.

Hi, I got that same letter a day or two before I got my approval letter in the mail from the judge!! They wanted to see if I qualified for SSI as well as SSDI. When did you apply? Did you have a hearing?

Yes.I had a hearing in November of last year.

Them my guess is you got approved, I got that same letter first. I bet you get your actual approval letter from judge this week. Did you call the SS office?

Not yet,I will be sure to do that.
