Like paying somebody way over what they are supposed to. Ive gotting 2 checks, one for me and one for my son. Then they added a very large amount to my card. Im wondering if you folks have ever heard of them making mistakes like that and if so what happends.

Did you ever make a big mistake? They can too. If you think they over paid you, put the extra in a bank ans see if they ask for it back in the next 12-18 monts. If they don't have a BIG party and invite me. K'??

Bustedup - Did you get an award letter from SSA? It should have said what you would get monthly nd what your retro payment would be abd back to what date. It could be as much as 12 months prior to your application so do the math. $1200 back 3 years could be over $40,000. IF you just got the card, sometimes the letter comes a few days later

Asking them is not a bad idea, because most errors are eventually noticed and they ask for pay back but there especially if it is SSA fault, you can ask and possibly get a hardship exemption

Busted if you live on earth their will be mistakes. They are human and they are the ones that key in information in the machines. I know we expect for everything to be correct by them. If they triple check what the do like our files has to go through half of the staff at SSDI maybe there would be less errors. But in reality it just does not go that way. I'm like Caseycat, look at you approval letter and see what it said. If you still don't have a clue go there I would not call. And to easy your mind have it written down by the rep.

You are going to make yourself sick worrying over if it is an error. Crap I'm getting sick with you worrying.lol

Bet when I get mind I want be wondering if they sent me the wrong amount.

WHAT DOES THE LETTER SAY??????? Is everything totaling up to what you received.

Go spend some some on you and wife. Surely you want spend it all
