Just curious what each of you here applied for SSD and/or SSDI with. Also, if you've won your case.

Me: I applied w/Fibromyalgia, Lupus, Depression & Anxiety, and I had many other smaller and more common things in my file as well. I was 40'ish.

After all the denials and a hearing w/ALJ, I won my SSD case. She made in in-court approval ruling.

It took 1-1/2 years from start to finish.

The unfortunate thing was that the judge changed my on-set date. (My attorney never did figure out how the judge came up w/the new date.) I was cheated out of 1-1/2 years of back-pay. I didn't complain though, was happy for the approval and some back-pay money.

Primary: Bipolar II with panic disorder. Secondary: Chronic pain and limited capacity from arthritis of cervical spine and carpal tunnel syndrome. I was approved on initial application with disability onset dating 3 1/2 years back (back pay only awarded 2 years back by law).

Hey everyone- this isn't just for people who've won their case. Please, let us know even if you're in the process and/or have been denied.

You can tell us how long you've been working on approval and what stage you're in.
