I am 39 years old white male I have spinal issues such as herniated disc protruding disc and arachnoid cyst on my spinal cord. I also have facet joint deterioation and disc deterioation. And arthritis in spine and other x rays parts of the body. I have diabetes on insulin not by fault mind you I do not drink alcohol. I am 185 lbs and was diagnosised while I was 171 lbs. I also have severe depression and anexity disorder not from not being able to secure a job hell I can get one of them any day. My neurologist has run many many test cause of the back paind and pain in weird parts of the body and found brain lesions all over the brain so right now as of Monday of course I will know what the outcome of this might be. Ms I dont know he is leaning toward that.

I have sent waybackjack this same message asking him and he declined to responde to me of course. What do yuo think should I be approved ? Im 39 years old worked from 15 to present.

How can I be a doctor when I spend much of my time visiting them ?

Sorry but to me their Error is still not excepted. I'm would think that I am speaking on everyone behalf. My Motto is do your best not because you are trying to meet a quota. I've found that if you do it right the first time then your quota will by pass the one that screw up. A person that take pride in there work don't let anyone low them in their ability. But that's me. i only worked 3 days a week. Came back into work with 2 days of uncover work plus work on the days I was there. I put 100 plus pride into my job and got done what other that work 5 days could not do and had no intention of doing. WHY/How did I get it done? Because I did not ck my personal email, personal phone calls. etc.. Everyone makes error. I did, but caught some missed some. They are dealing with folks lively-hood. Error should not be accepted. I'm not saying that every SSD employee does this. But I bet the dollar in my pocket most of them do. I heard it's because that they don't get paid enough or under staff. Do the job or be showed the door. And I'm not wishing for anyone to lose their job, But right is right, wrong is wrong. I just look at my position at doing the best I could for all my clients. I worked helping folks get medical care. There was a guideline and I followed it. I did all I could do to get as many the help for as many as I could. Even if I had to put that file to the side and go back to it before completing denied. So I know what its like to work a file before you just throw it in the denial box. Matter of fact I set a goal for myself depending on how many files I had. That's called managing your time. Excuse Excuse only make Excuses, I just hate that I can not do what I used to do. I don't care what type of job I did I put out my best.

You should be but they will deny you 2 times and then you have to before the judge. But if your disability is in there blue book you can get approved right away but you have to meet the listing to a tee and your medical records better show that you meet it.Also your Dr better back you up and write a report telling the SSA that you meet that listing and hoe you meet it.Don't have your family Dr do it have a specialist do it they carry more weight than a GP.Also make sure that your medical records are not more than a year old and you have to show them that you are getting ongoing treatment.SSDI is harder to get at your age so don't get bummed out if they turn you down the first 2 times remember it is going to take awhile maybe up to 3 years because 3.2 million filed for ssdi last year alone and they all have to go through the same process as you do.I wish you the best of luck.

I was 40 when I was approved, first time smooth as butter, I've worked all my life since the age of 14 doing summer jobs and working after school in super markets etc. Have 5 herniated discs, with 2 inpingement in the nerves lower and upper nerves are pinched, carp T in both hands, inbalance on right side, server Fibro that brings me to my knees and also suffer from depression. I made sure all this was properly documented, My doctor supported me 100% also so did my Ruhmatologist who saw how much I was hurting, ran several blood test, because Aids, TB, and a few other disease that mimic fibro. And its not like I went to colledge and have many skills, most of the jobs I did required no skills, but would be pain saking for me since at times I had to stand for 16 hours on a double shift. Or drive up to 14 hours a day which is the max allowed for a commercial vehicle driver's in the state of NY, so twe answer would be NO I could not do any gainfull employment when I can't sit or stand for more the half hour to an hour at a time. And even if they find a job for me just licking stamps, at let's say $7.50 hour how in the hell is that gainfull employment? How woukd I survive on $300.00 a month after taxes and medical ill be lucky to come home with $200.00 a month. In NY you can't even get an unfurnished room. So no age has nothing to do with it. Its more skills and education that also plays a huge factor, in deciding if you can do other jibs as well, but in my case along with thw fibro fog " memory loss" and memory freeze up, I wouldn't lst long in any job, and that not gainfull employment, that is throwing me out to the wolves. SHAME on these greedy republicans that are trying to rule the world with money they steal from us the real job creators who spend money and create a demand, while the rich bank there money and create no demand, without the working class a job creating company has nothing if there is no cash flow to suppprt the companies demand.

FOOK the republicans and democrat's they are no longer for the people, but there greedy selves and the power Ego/Power trip they love to ride. Its time to vote for liberals and those that are willing to do what's Right for the people not there rich pals or friends in washington. these greedy bastards have failed us all. No one protects the consumers or tax payers anymore. Its just a matter of time before the people will have to resort to viloence and take it to the streets.

Ervargasny,

I see your at it again with the political threads. I'll bet the republicans on this board think the same thing about the greedy democrats stealing billions to buy off votes with all this debt we now have. Teachers unions and labor unions for the auto industry. Lets not forget them rich ass bankers that got round two three and four of pay offs while under democrat leadership. You are seriously misinformed.

How can I be a doctor when I spend much of my time visiting them ?

Ugh!! Now we are gonna argue politics? First I must say,as I have said before,no one on here, except maybe waybackjack, since he worked for SSD,for many years,is an authority on SSD. Everyone's case is different. I think we are forgetting that this is a support site,we are here to listen, and support each other. Not to judge one another,or argue. SSD is far too complex for us to understand fully. Why dont we get back to being compassionate and supportive? We are not supposed to be attacking ones thoughts or opinions,or bringing politics into the discussions. I often say in my threads, this is just my EXPERIENCE,or this is just my OPINION. But I mainly try and be supportive and kind. It kind of feels like some of us are losing the focus here. Lets be supportive, and not authoratative.

From now on I'm just going to just answer questions, I'm not a expert but I have been through it and I won.So I will just try to help people ,because all the complaining and bitching about the process will not do any good. Me and all of you cannot change how the ssdi process works .All we can do is go with the flow, and fallow there rules, the alj are the ones who have the last word and we cannot tell them how to do there job.So from now on all I can do is try to help.some people will want it others won't and the ones that don't I wish you all the best.
