MDJunction to me

Hazeldee"MDJunction means that I no longer have to feel like I am the only person in
the world with pericarditis. It means that I can talk to others who know
how stressful and how painful having pericarditis can be. It means that I
connect with others to discuss treatments that have or haven't worked for us, so that we have a leg to stand on. I think that having my friends at
MDJunction has allowed me to better mentally and emotionally process my
diagnosis and what it means to me. I feel so lucky to have this community
available to me. I use MDJunction as a way to use my experience to help
others. Reaching out to help others is the only solace I have found since
being diagnosed with pericarditis.

I am also on sedatives and other meds that make me feel like a zombie, but I had someone drive me to my consultative exam (I needed someone to go with me anyway). Are you on Medicaid? If you don't feel comfortable driving yourself while on the meds, many states will actually provide you with transportation to doctors appointments if you are on medicaid for no charge.

Just received letter yesterday that i have to go get a physical exam on Monday 1/24.

What all do they do at a physical? Is it like a complete physical you get at a dr?

Well when I went, CE-medical Dr.. Had me to raise arms(as much as I could),ck'd knees. looked at wrist, ck'd meds, ck'd weight called it a day. No more than 15 mins. No question asked. Physiatric- Asked question, (how do I sleep, my activities, etc..) No test done as I read that others had. visit maybe 30 mins. That was it, hope this help although not much done.

Wow, maybe that's a very good sign. My medical records were very thorough and current and they still maid me go to the psychiatric exam.

I hope it is a good sign... I went yesterday for the physical and i did not care for that doctor. I went for my fibro and he kept pressing on bad areas and i kept telling him it hurt. I didnt say it mean Between that and my aniexty/panic was getting bad even on xanax.(dr finally switch my klonopin to xanax!!) Dr was pissing me off Angry

but i knew to play nice..... As you had told me once jmick you had filed just the mental part and not physical, i wish i had done that to. It was hard for me to leave and go there yesterday that is why i was treading the mental one. Well guess i sit and wait now.
