MDJunction to me

peasha"This has been one of the most supportive places I have ever been. I found MDJ by mistaking looking for drs to help me with my many health issues and since that day over a year ago I have found a tight nit little family that keeps me going when the times are tough and offers me a place of retreat to share my successes and failures with others. I get to see the humor and seriousness of what I experience as well as the resources to learn about my health conditions. Thanks MDJ" (peasha)

I have been denied for social security many times. I have also been denied vocational rehab services twice. This time last Friday. Ok my first question is since I am going to an administrative law judge next year can being told no after doing assessments with VR help me on my case? Secondly how can VR deny you benefits when your doctor says you are stable enough for part time employment? I thought VR was that VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION. If you get denied both how are you supposed to survive?

VR in most states are generally for people with disabilities, so getting denied must mean you are not giving them sufficient evidence that you are disabled. As far as whether that affects your disability case, I don't think it will come into play. SSA doesn't care whether or not someone else thinks you're disabled, they make their own determination.

If your doctor says you can work part time, that may be part of your problem with both VR and with SSA. You don't have to be able to work full time to be denied disability, they can deny you if you are able to work part time.

From what I understand about VR is that they have specific criteria to help someone.

Did they deny you because your disability was too severe, or did they deny you because you were too high level function and they didn't have the jobs in your skill capacity. I would ask them why the denied you. On the up side if VR denied because your disability was too severe, then that makes your SS case much better.

I am trying to get a copy of the VR file because the VR counselor made rude comments about my disability. He said he was denying me for my betterment. Which was a load of bull. I have appealed it. They are not wanting to give me a copy of my file. Why would they not want me to see what's in it?
