Hi fibro,

Nice to hear from you again and yes I did get get the tests done.

The MRI's show arthritis in my cervical spine and my lower-lumbar, but nothing supposedly bad.

The EMG's show some type of neuropathy going on and I was told it was like something was eating away at the outer covering of my nerves causing them to like short-circuit.

The neurologist who done the EMG's seems to want to do more but my rhumitologist is calling the shots, so for now he has placed me on neurontin it supposedly calms the nerves and helps with neuropathic pain, but a few people on MDJunction have said quit forcefully they never got any relief from this drug.

I had my EMG 7/29/10 and didn't get back to be consulate and placed on medication until 8/31/10, he acts like he wants to do a lot more but his hands are tied, because he kept asking me about the last time I seen my rhumitologist and was kind of amazed I guess to hear she was mailing me letters about my results of both the MRI's and the EMG's and that I hadn't seen her in 3-4 months, and as I was leaving he again asked my when i was going to see her and I said I didn't know But I was Going to force a meeting with her, and he grinned, seems strange to me!

I took the new medication last night and had a horrible night, got 1-1/2 to 3 hours of sleep and then crashed for two hours this am, just got up at 1:00pm and its now 1:38pm on my computer.

Anyways thanks for asking how I am, and hows things with you? Hope everything's going great!

UPDATE: 9/23/10

I seen my PCP on 9/9 and told him about my rhumitologist just sending letters and having her secretary call me about my appointments, and the fact that I had not seen her in 3-4 months.

I also told him what the EMG neurologist told me about mt EMG test and everything else, including the neurontin I was put on.

MY PCP got so PO'd I thought I was going to have to do CPR on him, he told me to stop going to the rhumitologist and to tell the neurologist that the rhumit. was no longer my DR. and that he could do what ever tests he felt needed to be done, and if he had a problem with that to tell him to call my PCP and he would straighten everything out for me.

So maybe my appointment on 9/30/10 will be very interesting at the least <grin>
