MDJunction to me

mabri"When I was diagnosed about 18 months ago with fibromyalgia, I didn't know where to turn. I got on my computer and looked for a support group where I could talk to other people with the same disease and get some help...Information, suggestions, mostly just what I can do now that I have this.....disorder/disease/syndrome...I didn't even know what to call it. I found MDJ, and yes, there was a support group for fibro. I started a post, and figured I would never get an answer. However, very quickly I was welcomed in, and became really involved in the group. I received help, support, friendship and the feeling of being truly cared about by these strangers who had become like family to me. Now, I have been here for about a year and a half...I have become a group leader, and love every minute of it. It is so wonderful to be able to help others. I still receive help and answers from the members in this group. The fibromyalgia is where I go to help, support, listen, care and even laugh. I don't know what I would do without this group." I was denied after the hearing, now my attorney wont return my calls!!! What am I supposed to do now? The reasons the judge (or whomever) denied my case were insane. NONE of the reasons they gave were even relevant to my case!

I don't understand why the attorney wouldn't return your calls. Unless, he just doesn't want to spend anymore time on your case since you were denied. He doesn't get paid unless he wins the case. What were the reasons for your denial? Were you denied at the hearing or did you get a letter afterward? I'm not sure what to say. Ermm

Thanks, I hadn't thought of that. I was denied by letter after the hearing. My husband has the letter somewhere so I can't go through and say specifically why I was denied. I just know NONE of the reasons even apply to me at all, and it made my husband enraged. He's not one to even get angry.

I will contact my attorney's office on Monday and see what answers THEY can give me, even if I have to lodge a complaint.

That is absolutely despicable and I'm so sorry that happened to you! I hope you are able to reach your attorney. It is you right to now WHY you were denied. This whole process is long, arduous, and agonizing alone without this kind of thing happening. And I don't blame your husband for being outraged. He's had to watch you suffer this whole "waiting game" for so long. It took me two years just to get a hearing date and I was told I was "lucky". There was no decision at the hearing and I now have to wait AT LEAST two months. I dread seeing my attorney's number come up on my phone. I'm a basket case. Please keep us updated!

I would get a different attorney, and let the new attorney sort through the stuff with the old attorney and then to appeal the decision again.

I do know the reasons, just none of them are applicable to myself or my case.

Finally heard from my attorney. Well, his office. XD He's starting appeals movements, and the office's secretary called both myself AND my husband about this. Whatever voodoo or mojo ya'll work... keep it up! Wink
