I have read this website too over and over and have gleaned as much as I could from it. I hope you also find it to be informative.

Yes but I think it is better than going in person because then they can say you can get out and do things. Doing it online, someone else could be helping you type and you also can save your claim and do it later.

Hi. everyone i just joined the group..hope you don't mind. I have been waiting a year now to get ssd. You have no idea how frustrated I am. I couldn't help but jump in on the subject. You know I never thought about the computer skill thing about fileing online. How clever is that..It took me forever to do the online filing. I couldn't sit that long but they don't know that.

I have tried everything...I had my congressmen stamp my file I can't say that worked. I have talked with my dr's

But hears the thing I have one dr that says I can work. I haven't seen him in about 2 1/2years, So how does he know. He did my knee surgeries I have had 6 and I'm getting a total soon. He is the only one messing things up. There is no talking to him, I'm not seeing him anymore. He is a great ortho in the fact he knows his stuff.. but NO bed side manner. The only thing he told me to do was go to a pain clinic.(but can that be a good thing with SSD)

I need some advice. I have an appt with a rheumy on Monday. I don't want to mess this up. What should I get from him to send to SSD. I just hope he doesn't look at me and say well your only 36 I can get you back to work. Thats my fear because working is not happening because I hurt so bad.

Sorry so long I really could use some advise.Ohh My dr diagnosed me with Spondylitis and fibro. My dr sent me to a rheumy for more pain control and to see what he has to say about the diagnos.

No way are we mad, Irish! I am glad you are here! I would find a NEW ortho, one who will go along with your ssd.

yeah..I think thats a good idea. Its just so hard to find a good ortho. What stinks is that I have to stick to the doc's on my ins. That group isn't taking new patients...I guess i'll just wait it out. I have 3 other Dr's that say ssd is a good idea. Hopefully, with the fibro diagnos it will be easier...I hope
