Since I last posted about confronting my abuser, so much has happened. In a nutshell, I wrote my first love, D.C., a letter. It was simple. Didn't say too much. I didn't know where he was in his life, if he was married or not, etc...I just told him I would like to talk to him but I don't want to intrude in his life. I gave my email address and phone number. Then I waited...the longest 5 days of my life! He contacted me!! OMG! My parents knew of the letter I wrote to him and they know that we've talked. They were okay with it. I wouldn't guess overjoyed, but okay. That was good enough for me. Frankly, I wouldn't care how they felt about it. It's my life and I'm taking it back. We had a good talk...for over an hour. I feel I got some closure. After we hung up I cried for 3 hours. I was feeling so many different emotions. It is all in my most recent diary entries. You will get more details of our conversation there. The amazing part, and what I was hoping for, is that he is not married. He's been divorced for about 10 years now. I can only hope that another miracle will happen and that someday maybe in closing the door to our young love, maybe a new door can open. I cannot believe the progress I have made since joining MDJ!! All of the support I have gotten from so many people here has been amazing and a godsend to me! I feel like I can live again!

Thanks Susan, that it has been!!! I am all ready for Christmas and will glad to get it over with. I bought everything online. Gifts are all wrapped. Will do the cut-out frosted sugar cookies with the kids this weekend...that's a family tradition and we eat more cookie dough than we produce cookies. I'm excited for the kids to open their presents. Since their dad is being a jerk and has set a limit of only spending $200 a piece on them because we're going to court in January to have my child support raised, he's trying to play the poor card! I have made up for it though. Even though money is tighter for me than him, living on disability...my kids never do without and Christmas has always been the time when they get everything on their list, no matter how old they get. The gifts just keep getting more and more expensive! But they still get sooo excited for Christmas! How are your holiday plans coming along? What will you do for Christmas? I will have my kids Christmas eve and morning. They will go to their dads later in the morning for a few hours...then off with their friends.

Life is getting better for me in all respects! I'm thankful for that!

You seem to have things moving right along.I love shopping online. One yr I did all my Christmas shopping online also.

I will be working on Christmas and so shall Brian.Since I opted out of the holidays with my family-my shopping is minimal (havent started yet).Really its Brians kids and maybe I'll buy something for a friend.

They are older where Christmas doesnt excite them as much.Jordan wants to move to CA and go to school there. She said for X-mas she just wants $.Bailey his son is 14,so video games are big for him.Clothes too.

We dont have a tree up yet. Were finding it hard to get into the mood with our recent passing.Im thinking about decorating today and I think that will be good for all.

I pulled out my 2 favorite X-mas cd's,charlie brown and the nutcracker.Put those on and try and give this house some holiday spirit.susan

Thata girl! Get in the spirit! I've been playing Christmas music and I have 3 Christmas trees up around the house. They're all artificial. You can't keep a live tree alive in Arizona!! So, I have a Yankee candle in pine scent...Yum! I love the smell of pine!
