hi

i've smoked since i was 13. i'm now 47. i wasn't always smoking a pack or more a day. back when i started, like most people it was just experimental and in those days it was so cool to smoke. (1970's). it started with one every month to 1 a day to a pack and a half a day. i have to have a tooth implant and my dentist says that the only way he will do it is if i quit. the problem is that i just went through a very horrible break up. i've had 6 deaths in my family including 4 brothers and my dad within the last 5 years. i'm pretty depressed and starting to get hooked on Vicodin again because of my shoulder and headaches. i had a brain anuerysm about 2 years ago. so, i have a lot of reasons not to quit but even more reasons to quit but i'm so scarred to commit to it and fail. like drug addicts who relapse and feelings of guilt makes them weaker to quit their habbits, i'm afraid to try to quit and fail and let the guilt feelings and lack of self-confidence make me weaker and harder to try to quit again
