I have felt like I am doing well with the CPAP. I do notice it does leak a little when I lie on my side so I move the mask and head till it stops. To me it is no big deal. My hubby starts complaining about it. Well last night he actuall y move my mask and thenwas messing with the tubing. He was awake and knew what he was doing. I got aggravated. He said to me Man it is bad enough to sleep with Dath Vader without it making any noise. This machine is actually quieter than a humidifier. I am so aggravated and ended up just taking it off so he would leave me alone. Now he is on a business trip for 3 days. Im glad at least now I can sleep. Sorry for venting but this really got to me.

don't be sorry. My husband is always making some kind of comment. He'll wake me up because he is a sound sleeper. His biggest complaint is I gurgle. What happens I know this is gross sorry. I drool in my sleep well I try to keep my mouth closed for the machine and the I gurgle. he wakes me up everytime. It is so annoying I alot of times will get up and go out to the couch but then I don't get my proper rest. Talk to him about it make sure he understands how impaortant it is and that you are getting adjusted like he is to the machine. It will get better

Give him earplugs..lol, Mine makes little farting noises, when it gets off balance, hubby is a light sleeper so you know what this does to him, he told me about it a few times, and I just told him at least mine didn't stink like his does..rofl..

He is going to have to get use to it, that is all there is to it, and he should not be messing with it, over time you will end up adjusting it in your sleep, are you sure that your mask is the right one for your face? Snoopy, have you tried the chin strap? it helps to hold the mouth shut..

I tried the chin strap but then I choke on the salivia since I drool so heavily. I have asked my dr. what might make me drool so much and he has no idea. It is a constant battle.

are you drinking a lot of fluids prior to bed time? perhaps if you try and cut off your fluid intake a couple of hours prior, then maybe the problem won't be so bad.

I never really thought about the fluids usually do drink water in the evening but not an excess. But that is a good though I'll have to try. It's weird during the day I always have trouble with a dry mouth at night I go the total opposite

nope no dentures. I do have problems with reflux and I know when that is acting up it is worse. That's the only thing I have been able to say I know makes it worse. I'll try cutting back on the fluids and let you know if it makes a difference. Thanks for the input
