 I don't want to chase you away Belinda, but why would you be here. We are looking for healing and support from one another. I would love to heal myself and I thought I had several times, only for it to come back out. The harder I tried to hide it the worse it got.

Gloria, to the point as usual. I always enjoy your candor. Belinda, I hope you have found normalcy, but as Gloria said how? When you don't grow up in it how do you know what it is. I know i didn't. We don't mean to be offensive here, but to be thought provoking. Which sometimes means bringing out difficult points or challenging each others thoughts.

 Belinda, I am so honestly sorry if I have offended you. I am old and crazy. I just say what my own truth is and forget sometimes that there are other views. Again, I am so sorry. I lived with my abuse for so long and I did a lot of living never thinking about it. But then, sure as hell it caught me... I hope you are successful in whatever you do.

 please help me. I am a 35 year old mother of two who recently began abusing anti anxiety meds and cutting. I have jepordized my job, my health and safety. I have a supportive husband and employer. I can remember being molested (once) at twelve, raped at 21. I have recently had recollections of a faceless "shadow" who would touch me when I was very small, but the details are vague, and all I have is guilt, dread, and this sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I am home and wish there was a hole that would open up and swallow me. What do I do? How do I remember?

My health isn't doing so good .

I have epilepsy my seizures are increasing that's all.

 db, You have to just let the memories come. They come on their own - though it's unnerving - it's the only way to go. If it really gets bad please seek counseling. Feel free to write to me.

Do you mean you have a supportive husband that he knows? The more you get it out the less the pressure is, and you might stop the cutting and more distructive things your doing. Also, sometimes its easier to find something else to focus on when you are stressed and want to hurt yourself. I'm glad you are reaching out.

did you join the self injury forum or addiction?

 Belinda, I don't know if I missed something but I do think you are wanted here. All open and honest discussion is wanted here. We may not all see things the same way but that is generally a good thing as long as you are open to others having a different opinion. I hope you continue to feel welcome and like you can post when you need to. Also, this forum is made up of a lot of people not just one person so even if one person does get under your skin that does not mean that we all will. We are here for you as I am sure you are here for us.
