Congratulations on being able to reveal everything to your partner. In lieu of therapy the 12 step groups are always an option for working through childhood trauma. In addition to the s-programs there is also ACA which focuses on childhood trauma and the effects that it has on our adult lives. As with most of us peeling the onion back takes time and we can't clear away all the layers at once. Best of luck to you.

You should be proud of yourself. I am also a person with a bipolar disorder and am addicted to porn. I had an abusive stepfather and come from a highly dysfunctional family. My wife knows about my porn addiction and is very supportive. We have been married for 26 years and I love her very much. She knows my porn addiction has nothing to do with her.
