So I went to the pdoc this morning. My hubby went in with me to make sure I told the dr whats been going on. I told him about the horrible lows i've been having and so he said he's gonna change my meds. I'm totally fine with that - even though its a giant pain in my arse - but if it helps then I'm up for it.

I have to start weening off EffexorXR and start taking Lamictal....I'm also on Elavil for the Trimenal Neuralgia headaches i've been having recently too.

Oh such fun isn't it

Good luck Cherrie.

As quietly as little rabbit's feet,
The morning glory sun arrives to greet
The Red Man as he worships in his way.
For this he asks the Spirit every day;
Before I judge my friend, O let me wear
His moccasins for two long weeks, and share
The path that he would take in wearing them;
Then, I shall understand and not condemn.

Where is that cheerful girl I used to know? I look in the mirror and it's like I don't even recognize myself. I look so down and tired, I don't see that girl that was so happy so long ago. What happened to the days I would smile? Where are the days that my heart wouldn't break? Where have I gone? I see that girl when I look in the mirror, but she's too far gone. I can't bring her back to life she's feeling to much strife. I feel her inside me, but my depression won't let her come out. I think the old me is gone without doubt.

Good luck hun. I was on lamictal and lithium, then taken off and put on something else. After 2 weeks I begged to go back on lamictal. So I am back to lithium and lamictal. I am so happy now. It helps alot. I hope you find it as well as I have. Take care and big hugs. We are here for you!!!

Thanx guys

Pixie, good to hear such a success story!! I didn't know you could be on both Lithium and Lamictal. I'm still learning which drugs do what, LOL. It's so confusing!!

Well the basics are that every drug is a number and certain numbers go with others. If you go to National Institute of Mental Health or NIMH. They have a medication publication that shows what drugs are antidepressants antipsychotics, antianxiety or anticonvulsant. You would be amazed what meds do what though. All sorts can be added to all sorts. I have been on a mix of most everything.
