 well I am still waiting for one more doctor to call but its not looking good. I guess cutting is going to have to be my pain med. I am going to have to get some more box cutters from work. I keep them hidden around the house. I have punched the walls so many times today too. I canceled all my other appointments with the pain clinic. Why bother anymore.

 Oh honey this isn't good and you know it. Try another pain clinic in a town. Maybe you can see a different doc at the same place. Did you tell the doc about the lady canceling your appointments? I wouldn't rely on cutting to cure or help the pain. You might end up needing a bigger deeper cut everytime using it that way. I have felt that feeling. Next thing I knew I was naked standing and a psych hospital having cuts counted. It took an hour. We care about you and your family does too or you wouldn't hide this from them. You pay those docs to take care of you. Tell them you can't take it anymore and need real help. Call them and tell them you are in agony and refuse to be passed off til the next visit. You have serious needs and they have to be met!!!!!

 I will not go back there. They obviously dont care! I canceled the appointments because of them. I do have an appointment with my family doc tomorrow. They are squeezing me in. I am not going to tell him about the cutting but I am going to tell him about the depression that has skyrocketed from the pain. Hopefully he will DO something for me. He knows I am not a druggie. I will have to ask him about the Lyrica because tomorrow is my last day of the free sample. I do have a month prescription for it but I will need more down the raod if he wants me to keep taking it. Now that I am not going to the pain clinic I will need to get it somewhere else.

 The family doc is a great start. They can give out samples too. I now go to my family doc for my bulimia cutting bipolar borderline personality disorder sistic fibrosis and a few others but those are my biggies and he helps me with all of them

 he doesnt want to treat me, he is just doing this to get me by. I think I am strait out going to ask him for Oxycontin or somthin like it. I have knots the size of golf balls from all this stress today.

 morning ladies,

well i understand why you cancelled the appointments but at the end of the day maybe everyone that you had contact with there was also having a bad day.. its possible.. i do not know what a pain appointment is but im guessing its to check your pain thresh hold or something.

Having box cutters around the house is not good remember you have a daughter what if she starts then you really have something to feel guilty for ... And you never know what climbs on or falls on them making them even more unsterile..and what if your kid then starts mimicing their little bodies cant handle the razor... they will need stitches at the end of it.. sorry but i think you need to be a little more careful when there are kids or teenagers in the house.

they will not understand you are doing it for pain management

ask your dr for a anti inflamitry gel, a muscle relaxant and a anti depressant please love...

 foxy,

im sorry but i also think you should tell him you have resorte to cutting to have some control over the pain it will help on two levels 1) he knows you are dire strait and need urgent resolution.. 2) he will see if you are in so much pain that cutting yourself is what you feel is your last resort..

 I went to the doc today. I didnt tell him about the cutting but I did let him know how depressed I am getting. So, he put me on cymbalta. Which is also supposed to help for pain and fentanyl patches again but 25mcg this time so maybe it will help. I hope so. I am staying on the Lyrica for now I guess, hopefully that will kick in too.

 Maybe together they will be the ticket. I am glad you told your doc about the depression. Later youu might think of telling him about the cutting too. Just be safe. I think you are doing great and have wonderful faith in you. We can be strong together.
