hi everyone...

I would love this to be a place where we can all feel safe to be open and honest and not have the fear of being judged or critisized.

I would like the members here to put forth some idea's to ensure this is how this group stays so please feel free to add any suggestions and we can all have imput on this site and run it as we feel will be benefitual to us all as a whole.

So i purpose:

1)No swearing or talking down to anyone here

2) If you have no nice replies to write please do not reply

3) There are no stupid questions or feelings so we will all except that everyone feels different and has the right to.

and lastly i would really like us to all try to post or private message before we reach for razors or lighters etc this is not a rule but because we all need to be open and honest and well we all have been there one time or another some-one elses words could make all the difference if we harm or not...

THIS IS NOT A RULE BUT I PLEAD WITH YOU TO TRY...

good luck to us all and please feel free to put your opinions and idea's forward....

take care and a big hug to you all...

Marsha

Hi Marsha,

well written

one more thing we've learned in other groups.

some people find a certain discussion interesting others don't. if you are not interested - don't participate. there is no reason to get upset over it or think those members are 'stupid' - ignore.

hope you all enjoy your time here.

I agree. I was wondering as group leaders, since we are all people who suffer and want to be safe, does it bother you or anyone when we are too specific. I mean like should we say say self harm, or self injure instead of cut, not to trigger anyone. I also, know that some of us in this form are in other forms like the eating disorder group, so do we not say fat or talk about weight.

Please advise when you can. Thanks

I think you bring up a good point. I personally am not triggered by word but some may be and I hope they will respond. As a member of the bulimia group I don't mind the word fat as long as it is a description f how you feel and not what you are calling someone else. If you have any other questions please ask.

i agree with pixi... i personally do not mind if its descriptive..

but we do not call others names anyway so i think the calling of how you feel can be as discriptive as you need to be to get the point across.

welcome to the group and please know all is okay...

big hugs and welcome
