God I'm scared. It seems as tho the depression is back. I could feel it looming for the past few weeks and by last night I knew it was back. I have to make myself shower and brush my teeth cos it seems like such a mammoth task! I think I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the children I'm minding. I love them all but with my own 2 being so young it means I never get a break.

I can feel all these negative memories and thoughts coming back and the desire to self harm is becoming stronger. I don't know what to do - I hate being on meds cos it takes them so long to work and they make me feel worse before I get better. But I just keep ruminating over old family disagreements and its driving me crazy! I'm normally pretty good at blocking out the negative thoughts but its like they're coming too fast for me to stop them.

I wish I didn't have depression - why is it that so many people go through life without having to deal with this horrible illness. Are they stronger than I am??? My husband does his best to help me but he just doesn't handle emotions very well. His answer is to send me to bed and while sleep sometimes helps, other times it can make me feel worse.

I just feel so sad and in utter despair. Sad

Fairyqueen (love the name),

How are you today? Are things any better? I agree depression is an awful thing to experiences and it isn't something I would wish on my worst enemy.

Just checking on how things are.

Hi Torres - I'm much better today thankfully! I think it was PMS more than anything and my cycle has been a bit out of whack so the hormones must have been getting me down! Sorry if TMI!!! Definitely feeling like myself today so hopefully it was just a blip! Smile

Glad you are better. PMS can be the worst. Don't worry about TMI.

Hi Ava. I'm glad you feel better for the moment =) Your situation remind me of my own gf and her kids. I see how hard it can be on her to raise them. I feel for you. I'm sorry you've felt so overwhelmed... I'm sure this isn't the first time. I hope you can find 'Me' time during the day where you can be at peace & relax even if only for a few minutes.

I actually like coffee & a scone in the morning, lol. YUMMY!!!

Aw thanks guys! It was fine when the children used to have a nap during the day. I used to curl up with a scone and coffee and watch tv for an hour! It was bliss but now they're too big for naps so its hard to find me time!!!
