Ok, hubby and I got into a fight. I of course couldn't handle it, and injured. I said to myself if I injured again, I would have to go get help, but here I sit. Cause part of problem (fight) was about me having issues too, and him not paying for it. Now we sit in silence my arm all sliced up, etc.

Anyway, what do I do know?

I think you would have been ok if your husband and you hadn't gotten into a fight. If you think about it now, do you feel like your going to SI again? the point im trying to make is, if you feel like your going to self injure again, then I would go get help; but if you feel like you can control the urges now, then i think the reason why you cut was because of the fight. **sorry if this doesn't make the most sense right now, I'm currently in the hospital and I'm kind of out of it** basically what it comes down to, if you feel like you can control the urges from here on out, then I think you can overcome this yourself. but if their is any part of you that feels like your going to cut again, then i suggest you seek professional help. how do you feel right now?

I'm sorry you are in hospital. Why are you there?

If you feel like your not going to SI again tonight, then I think your fine to wait until tomorrow to go to intake and see what they think you should do. Just promise me that if your urges return tonight, that you either talk to one of us on here or seek help so that you don't SI again Smile You can do this! Smile Were hear for you!

Thanks hon. I don't think I will injure tonight. I really don't know about going to the hospital tomorrow either though. I'm scared of what hubby will think.

I know you are, and that's 100% understandable, but at this point you need to do what's best for YOU. He can think what ever he wants, but if your not healthy and happy, then what's the point. You deserve to be healthy and happy! Smile and if that means getting the necessary treatment, then so be it. I know its hard, and it's scary; i'm in the same boat right now with being in the hospital. If there's anything I can do to help, just let me know Smile
