Just think about it I had to wear one of those big, bulky, ugly back braces. Yes your right it was definetly ugly. I used to do what ever I could to brake it so I didn't have to wear it until they fixed it. So you say you have back problems at. Upper, middle, or lower part of it. I will say there are days that the lower part of my back hurts so bad that I can't even walk .

What kind of bed do you sleep on? If the mattress is real hard I know that it can mess up the back you don't want it real soft either. If the bed is hard try to put a thick fluffy blanket underneath you it may help.

My name is Shanny and I'm new to this site and to this board. I'm 34 years old and just went through my scoliosis surgery in October 2007. I wish I had never done it for I'm far off worse then before I did it. I was bad off because I underwent a spine fusion that did not work and the doctor hurt me and didn't try to find out what happened and he had messed up on the surgery which was causing me to become paralyzed. Now I think I have permanent nerve damamge and can hardly walk and I'm a mother of two kids who still need my help. I am here if anyone wants to talk about the type of surgery I had or whatever else you need to talk about.
