Does anyone have traumatic scoliosis?

I've always had a slight left lateral curve to my spine but it wasn't anything that hurt or limited my mobility so they left it go. During the auto accident, my car was hit from behind, flipped over and broadsided by another person coming thru the intersection. My vertebrea from T-11 to L-5 are actually twisted out of position. My back started hurting me in 1983 and I went to the ER. They did some x-rays and found the traumatic scoliosis and sent me to the ortho surgeon. He did an MRI and said there's nothing they could do to help me because the injury was so old. If anyone else out there has this type of scoliosis and knows of anything that can help ease the pain without drugs, I'd appreciate their input.
