i had my scoliosis surgery over 10+ years ago and now have been in a lot of pain from the rods/hooks etc. i went to see the orthopaedic surgeon that did the first surgery and he said that he could take out the hardware that is bothering me but it would later on place pressure on other places or he could just take the rods out all at once. so the surgery to remove them completely is scheduled for march 13 and i have 2 children one at home and one in school. i am worried about the procedure since i am older and the recovery time. does anyone have advice or have had this done? |
