Been having a lot of Scoliosis pain today in the thorasic spine where the shoulder connects to the back causing tight shoulders & neck have been trying gentle stretches but not helping at the moment will have to see GP if no improvement.

will have to lower the number of stretches I am doing and build up from there again trying to add every stretch by 1 every day to maximum of 25 which I have been doing will start at 5.

and keep doing relaxation and breathing excersises.

All the best to all

Faith hope love

Oh I hope the pain goes hun. One of the things I remember being told to do to help with pain in that area was to lay on your stomach with your elbows on the bed/floor or where ever you are laying using your hands to prop your head up. Hopefully that makes sence... But try to aim to lay in that position for at least half an hour.... If its too painfull try doing it for a short time and slowly increase the time... Id suggest doing it where you can see a tv as otherwise it gets very boring.... Hope it helps hun xxx

Have tried your excersise and works a little bit but could only do it for

twenty minuites thanks for sharing it with me I tried it while listening

to the radio, cant sleep cause of the pain.

Have been working out excersises to do as need to make muscles stronger to

surport the painfull areas finding it very difficult but plugging away.

I am thinking of you and hopping your pain gets easier.

Gentle soothing hugs

Apart from around the sholders where else do you get pain? I know a few other exercises that can help with strengthing the lower back which will help stop some of the pain. At the moment I struggle trying to do anything because of the pain it causes. Have you ever been told how to safely get in and out of bed? I know it might sound odd but theres a certain way which helps put less pressure on your back, rather then just sitting. Basically you need to roll yourself on to your side and move your legs into a sitting position (while still on your side) then using your arms push yourself up into the sitting position. Its the only way I can get up from laying, but I need help even doing that now. Hope you feel better soon hun. Hugs xxx

Thanks again hun Smile

for your lower back you could try exercises of holding your stomach in, I was told to do this as often as I can, its not the easiest thing to do all the time but it does help. One of the others I remember is leg lifts. You lay on your back with one knee bent up with your foot flat on the bed/floor. with the other leg straighten it out keeping your toes pointed up, then slowly raise your leg (keeping it straight) hold your leg there for 5 seconds before slowly laying it back down, then repeat it again and again. you want to aim to do it at least 5-10 times with each leg. Over time you can increase how many lifts you do with each leg. To make it a bit more difficult you can also try holding your stomach in while doing these exercises. All of them help to strengthen your stomach muscles, which will help support your lower back, easing some of the pressure from the lower back. I hope that makes sense and helps Smile

Do you know anyway of helping to stop your thigh from going numb? both of my legs do that a lot and i dont know how to help stop that...?

Thanks again Smile Hugs xxx

The only thing that helps with thigh going numb for me is

laying flat legs straight move feet back wards & forwards

other than that cant help will try those excersises and

see if they help.

Thanks Clarita Smile Today my hands, back and knees aren't fairing very well. But my pain killers are helping a little. I think the greatest thing about the pain killers are their constipation side effect, which has helped my stomach feel a bit better Laughing

What are you seeing your doctor for? I hope they are able to help Laughing
