MDJunction to me

peasha"This has been one of the most supportive places I have ever been. I found MDJ by mistaking looking for drs to help me with my many health issues and since that day over a year ago I have found a tight nit little family that keeps me going when the times are tough and offers me a place of retreat to share my successes and failures with others. I get to see the humor and seriousness of what I experience as well as the resources to learn about my health conditions. Thanks MDJ" (peasha)

My doctor diagnosed me with mild scoliosis at my last physical (thursday) and sent me home with a routine we have become used to. Simply put I do some research and see what I want to try, and she will write a prescription as needed. So I am asking people here, what works for you? I have been treating back pain with a chiropractor for over two decades now (I am 33) and i'm told that might have helped delay my diganosis because my back keeps getting realigned every other month. So what do you do? what do you avoid? Does the pain ever go away?

Thanks for answering,

Shannon

may good health greet us all

I have scoliosis also. My pain goes away for a few hours after seeing my chiropractor but then comes back. I also have joint hypermobility so I have to go every 2 weeks because it never stays put. My pain has only gotten worse over time. You might find someone who does K-Laser treatments as an alternative to pills. Or acupuncture that's what I want to try next. I'm 27 by the way.
