I'm new

I suffer from a plethora of different "illnesses": ADHD, Insomnia, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, OCD and Schizophrenia - Schizo-affective Disorder.

For about a year i was on two medications: Lexapro and Seroquel. These two pills ultimately worsened my issues. Though i was able to sleep, had fewer paranoid thoughts, and had less hallucinations, i found myself to be more irritable, and dependent upon the pills. Getting myself off of them was extremely difficult. Its been a while since i was on them, and i believe i am almost right back where i started. I don't know if there is anything i can do to better myself. Medication didn't work, and therapy can only do so much.

I was on Seroquil for awhile. It spaced me out like it made my mania worse as if my bipolar meds didn't even work. The regimen I'm on now is 200mg of the anti-psychotic Geodon and 1000mg of the mood stabilizer Depakote ER. I also take Celexa and Ativan for anxiety/panic attacks but that's on top of the schizo-affective drugs. The Geodon and Depakote ER work wonders for me. I have no symptoms of my schizo-affective disorder whatsoever, except for an ocassional voice from out of nowhere, but it's months between episodes of that. Maybe you could ask your psychiatrist to let you try these medications. It feels so wonderful to be symptom free. Good luck.

I too have bipolar disorder I was diagonosed in 2005 and I was just recently diagnosed schizo-affective. I find my medication keeps my mood and mind normal I am on geodone and risperdal. For about five months I have not suffered from depression. When I was sick I know when I imagined things but I have also experienced some things that you only hear about on tv. I believe that alot of peole that suffer from mental illness are attacted by spirits. I will admit it is not always the spirits fault but they make matters a whole lot worse. My own experiences have been from scary movie. No joke. A

I have experienced all 3 and each time it has been a spirit. Believe me if you imagine it you will know. Also so what kind of hallucinations have you seen. Because I have seen actual manisfestations I have seen an angel(one night when I was in the hospital I was under demonic attack)I prayed for protection and I saw a angel no joke he had long blonde shoulder length hair and

he was facing the door holding a two edged sword and he had on a long white robe and he stood about 6 feet tall he manifested for about five seconds. (So there is power in prayer)

Another time I saw a spirit standing above me as I laid in bed I know it was there because it was like a magifying glass it distorted the light around it and it was in the shape of a person.

Really I am just trying to see if anyone has experienced the same things has me.
