Hi y'all , my name is Seth I got diagnosed over 11 months ago and found out through my doctor that I really have had this situation since my early teens but have been miss diagnosed like many ( sure wish I would of know sooner ) ! I am recently divorced which I am really struggling with, I lost my job and am now disabled so I now have more time on my hands than I need! I have a hard time finding joy in anything but I try not to be to idle even if what I'm doing isn't much fun it still gives me a distraction. The medications I take do help, which I am thankful for but now I am left to see what my problem has caused others in my life and I am seeing a therapist to once a week to work on that part. I guess what I'm wondering how much hope is there for people who suffer with this, I find it very scary and I seem to isolate even more, wish I had a friend!

I'm an Advocate

You have people here to talk to now. We all understand. I'm sorry you are struggling right now. I'm very glad that your medications are working for you. That is really good news. Therapy is going to do you good also. I have bipolar disorder. I'm stable on medications. I live a normal. healthy life because of them and I cope well. You can do the same. Yes there is hope. I know it's scary. You have a lot of friends here to communicate with now. I'm glad you joined. Welcome to the group.

Lots of mental disorders cause people to isolate. Plus some people cause you to want to isolate at least from them. LOL Find people who are kind and caring and have some intelligence. Those kind of people will be more beneficial to your life than all of the haters and judgers Yep my made up word) out there.

Welcome to the group and I hope others pop in to welcome you as well.
