I hope that with what I have lived through in those years, will be able to help all those who are just now going through. It is important to understand that even after 44 yrs, I am continuing to recover and to evolve. I just hope I can help others." (scotty04901)

Hi everyone, I just joined I was like some of y'all miss diagnosed and miss medicated which that has caused me years of problems! I was diagnosed 11 months ago and feel like I am on the right road it's just a painful and funny road! I hope I can get a chance to make friends with y'all and learn and help anyway I can. Silly Question does anyone else have a problem remembering how to spell schizoaffective , I sure do!

I am new to this forum as well. I was recently diagnosed with schizoaffective instead of plain bipolar disorder. At least now I can explain the voices and visual hallucinations. I've been hearing voices and seeing things since I was a kid, but my parents thought I was just a weird kid. Now everyone thinks I am a crazy person. Sometimes I think that I would be better off permanently being admitted into a psychiatric center or hospital. At least I would be around people like myself.
Sincerely,
Chris, 43

i had the same experiance in high school, but i used it to my advantage i spread the rumor tht if anyone made me mad or made fun of me, i would fuck them up- hospital syle! lol but ive found tht it doesnt work in the adult world, it was them that i realized if my "friends" were making fun of me they werent really my friends. now im not a psyciatrist but it seems like you need some new friends. but before you go dropping them like flys in a pesticide factory, try explaining it to them. send them videos and print out articles about your illness.
