For all those who are jus gettin the surgery or its in the future...def find a really good friend or ur ma....cuz ur gonna have to throw out ur modesty......goin to the bathroom is a weird challenge..well especially for me...i can't reach what ur suppose to wipe, and the tool they give u is all akward to use and doesn't do the cleanest of a job....so go back to ur childhood when ya used to yell for mommy can ya wipe me...cuz they can prolly do a better job of makin sure u feel clean, and yea a raised toilet seat is Fin the best invention......as far as takin a shower and my surgeon gave me a restriction of not bendin at the wast for a whole year....ur either gonna have to get a shower chair and a stiff stick wit a loofah on to get the lower extremities.....or if that don't work, and it didn't foe me have the buddy around to help ya in the shower

I'm an Advocate

My sister had to pretty much bathe me like I was a baby for 2 months because I couldn't even lift my arms up. You really do have to throw modesty out the window!

Glad you're feeling well enough to post often!
