Sometimes It's just so hard to think about a disease that you carry with you that nobody else has heard about. The information, the explanation, the treatment, the side-effects (that are natural mind you). Sometimes it makes me feel alien to other human beings. Yet as many negatives I can't help but feel the positives. We're stronger for this in everything we do. It's painful, even though they don't know, but we still do it. I can't help but wonder if we would survive a devastating event because of our passion to live, while someone who is use to living, would choke on the first sign of something inexplainable. Today I wonder if the minority, in some sense, really is a minority. Maybe we just have more evolution exceding our lives which makes us more capable since we're already "down there".

i understand what you mean... people cant see our pain so they assume "there is nothing wrong with you" or "it isnt that big of a deal" they dont feel how we do and therfore they dont understand and to that i say BUGGER YOU because they dont even try to understand our pain and frustration.... all we can do is to keep on going and do what we can to get through each day as well as we can...

I agree with this topic . There is no way someone with the pain of kyphosis could explain it to someone who does not have it. There is also no way that I can explain the deadly pain of first waking up from the surgery that I had to stop the progression of my kyphosis. I can not even explain it to you guys that have not had the surgery. I also know that my family will never understand any of this but I will never know why they have to act the way that they do and not understand that I am in the pain that I am. That is I think the worst part of the condition no one will ever understand what it is that we all have to go threw 24 hours a day. They can't even understand one minute of the pain I have, this does upset me in many different ways.
