Hello all. Desperately looking for answers and a good dr. Is anyone from the michigan area with a good dr fot proper diagonis. I've been told fibro and dystonia. I have ddd in spine, buldging and herniated discs, along with pinched nerves. Would like to know symptoms. I believe i've had this since childhood. Any info would greatly be appreciated. Hey Dianne,

Do you have poor posture and a sort of humped appearance to your back? This, pain and weakness in the upper back are the main symptoms. You really need to see a doctor who specializes in spinal deformities to determine if you have Scheuermanns. My surgeon is in the Memphis, TN area.. I don't know of any in Michigan but some of the other members might. You might want to search wikipedia.org for Scheuermann's to find out more info on it.

Hello Licia. Thanks for ur response. Yea i do. When pain is bad my kids try to straighten me up. When i was younger in elemen. school they told my parents i had scolosis. But i didn't. I have always felt the need to have my back cracked to relieve the pressure. I used to get made fun of all through school. I've checked web sites and i think i have kyphosis/lorodis. But need a dr to that knows about it. So confused.Tired of being in pain. Thanks for listening. Dianne

What type of surgeon do u see? A chiro. took x-rays and he stated he has never see anyone with a spine like mine. Neck curves too far in, thorax too far out, and lumber too far in. Showed gp not concerned, really. He knows i have disc problems. Showed new dr and hes concerned about it. But i dont think he knows about it. What type of symptoms do u have?

Thanks Di

My daughter sees Dr. Lenke, an orthopedic surgeon specializing in the spine. He is at Washington University in St. Louis.

thank you. I'll have to check them out in my area. If you could what symptoms does she have. I've checked webs, but would rather hear from someone who has it. Do you or anyone else in your family have it? I think my mother and sister had it but they have passed away. I think my kids may have also. I've been told fibro now not fibro but complex dystonia. So confused, tired of being sick and tired. Desperately looking for answers and a proper diagonsis to get relief. Any info would be greatly appreciated. PM me if you like.

Thank you!
