MDJunction to me

carmen33"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

My husband is a 4 time sarcoma survivor. He lost a leg during his most recent battle. Since 2008 his lungs have been monitored for a very slow growing spot that is suspected of being cancerous. It is not possible to biopsy as it is such high risk. His oncologist is researching. He does not know how big he can wait it to get before undergoing cyberknife radiation as probably his only option. Right now it is just 1 spot. It has not been determined whether this is lung cancer or metastatis from his leg. If anyone has gone through this I would really appreciate being able to talk to someone about this.

Thank you

Nicole

I'm very sorry to read about your situation dadavis. My husband ended up going for Cyberknife and turned down chemo since it didn't work the last time & he has been told that chemo is ineffective on sarcomas as in your situation. His doctors didn't want to wait any longer to see how much bigger it could get. He has yet to have a follow up scan but for now he is good. All we can do is to live in the present. Additionally his thyroid is being monitored since it lit up last year but was not found to be malignant just very active.

I'm very glad your spot didn't light up. Prayers for you.
