For the past two days I have pain under my chin in the neck area. When I swallow or eat or even move my tongue it hurts. it feels swollen and a little lumpy. I have been experiencing this for about two days. Does anyone else have this problem? What can i do for the pain? Thank you for being here.

I've never had it - are you sure it's sarc, or have you been to the doctor for it? Maybe it is a type of throat infection? You might try acidomeniphen (Advil, etc.) and/or throat spray for the pain and inflammation until you can have it looked at and get an actual diagnosis.

Hi am a new member

I have problems with my throat being soar a lot not sure what the reason. I do have sinus conditions very bad and am sure it is made even worst by the sac. In addition, my sac started in my lungs and taking in all the pollutants in the air could possibly cause my sore throat. I endure with very very difficult dry mouth to the point of having to use the toothpaste and mouthwash to try and help the condition. I go to the ENT at least several times a year. Living in Louisiana the dry cold and harsh summer kept me in distress in some way with my breathing and throat. I would suggest u see an ear nose and throat specialist. My doctor hate to see me coming (smile) but he his the one who took the time to figure out my illness and put the other doctors on the right track.

Smile Smile I hope you are feeling better from this soon!!!

Hi thedutchessia55, welcome! Glad you're here! I have sinus conditions too, but mine is from a bad deviated septum and not sarc. Made worse because they removed my spleen, so now I have a reduced immune system - so I have a hard time fighting viruses and infections. This year is the first time I've had a cold/cough that hasn't turned into an upper respiratory or sinus infection needing 2-3 rounds of antibiotics or a trip to the ER. (Which I was pretty tickled about, actually...) I also have a CPAP machine for sleep apnea, which has a humidifier attachment - so I breathe filtered air all night, which helps, too.

I also have a CPAP as well but I do not use it as I should. I do not snore since I used. Today, was raining and windy causes pain in my neck, shoulders, back and knees. The only pain pills I have are the tramadol any 50mg twice daily. The pain in my neck and facial area because of dental issues that need to be taken care of. I working on obtaining Master Science Mental Health Counseling degree this year has been difficult because of the fatigue, low energy, and no desire to do anything but lay down/

Sad

I'm not crazy about my CPAP, but the benefits are worth it. I have more energy, and am much, much less tired since using it. I looked at pictures of myself from before I got it, and I had huge dark circles under my eyes. I feel better now and actually feel like I'm getting sleep, and fall asleep faster. My body isn't in stress all the time from poor sleep, so I'm healthier overall. One of my friends lost 6lbs the first month he had his, just from his body getting good rest.
