Hello,

I have been asked a few questions lately about hair, nail, and skin changes. So, I thought that I would start a new, current post.

Does anyone know what type of hair and nail changes are associated with RSD?

Would anyone share personal experiences?

Does it take longer for scrapes to heal?

Do you bruise easily?

Thanks

In my own experience, my hair has grown so much faster that my hair dresser couldn't believe her eyes. After being diagnosed, I cut all my hair off. I couldnt manage it with the shoulder pain. (I literally cut it within an inch of my scalp) A year later I had hair down to my butt and donated 13 inches to locks of love. I had in the past tried to grow my hair out, and it took me almost three years to go from shoulder length to having enough to do ten inches with periodic trims.

Swim, My hair used to grow quickly and I used to donate it to locks of love too. Now, it takes much longer to grow it out.

I also do think that the skin on my feet looks thinner and I can see the veins more clearly.
