Hi All,

My mom has an appointment coming up (April 11th) with her rheumatologist. Right now she's having a very bad flare up. Last week was confined to bed rest. Sed rate was sky high (has started a run of prednisone) and she has a Baker's cyst (confirmed by ultrasound) on the back of her left knee.

Her RA is not controlled at all right now. I'm worried that the flare up (which has lasted for months now) is resulting in joint/bone damage. She has been tried on methotrexate, but couldn't not tolerate even the lowest dose.

Any suggestions?? I will appreciate any and all ideas!!
