MDJunction to me

aTinaL"To me, Mdjunction comes down to motivation. The support and information I have found here motivated me to take a very proactive stance regarding my illness. This led me to find medication and doctors that are giving me my life back.
More important than even the motivation, though, is the friendship I have found at MDJ. I have made some of the best friends of my entire life right here in this group. Even though most of us have never met, it feels as if we have known each other for years.
If Angels walk among us, and I believe that they do, most of them are here at MDJ.

I'm an Advocate

"On May 6, U.S. Senators Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Kit Bond (R-MO), and Ted Kennedy (D-MA) introduced the Arthritis Prevention, Control, and Cure Act of 2009 (S. 984). The bill expands efforts to prevent, treat, and care for people with arthritis through:

Enhancing prevention efforts related to arthritis;

Expanding and strengthening research programs relating to juvenile arthritis;

Establishing a juvenile arthritis population database to track our kids and monitor their treatments;

Enhancing support for physician training programs; and

Establishing a loan repayment program for pediatric rheumatologists to address the country's severe shortage of these critical health professionals.

We need your help to advocate for passage of the Arthritis Act and to address the needs of 46 million adults and 300,000 children with arthritis, the nation's most common cause of disability. Together we can fight the pain and disability of arthritis and make 2009 the year the U.S. Congress takes final action and passes this important legislation. Please contact your Members of Congress now and ask them to cosponsor H.R. 1210/S. 984."

After you click on the "Take Action" link you will be taken to the Arthritis Foundation's website. Simply enter your zip code and your elected state officials will show.

The Arthritis Foundation has already formulated a letter urging the elected reps to support the Arthritis Act. You can choose to send the letter or make changes, and hit "send".

Pretty simpleSmile! I sent my letters tonight!

That's what I keep doing too, Bkwrm. Its easy and we need people's voices to be heard. If the reps dont hear from their constituents they won't think it's necessary or important. Thanks for posting it!!!!! xoxoxo
