MDJunction to me

jpcrps"When I found MD Junction, I was in the beginning stages of RSD/CRPS. I was scared, lacked knowledge about the condition, and felt very alone.

MD Junction changed all of that for me. I found friendship and terrific information from people who had first-hand knowledge of this syndrome. It was and still is a big part of my life.

MDJ was my first step on the journey of grief; from denial to acceptance. I am now inspired to help others by sharing this amazing site and sharing my own experiences. I am very impressed that one forum site can provide hope and inspiration to people suffering from so many different conditions. I am proud to be a part of this community.

G'day all, finally glad I found a site that looks and feels right. I am sure alot of you know what I mean.I have had RA along time.I am 49.I have major pain problems outside of RA ,so a good day is a day I can move and the pain is 4/5.I wrote alot in the other portion of the forum.I cannot take biologics now due to a BIG mis communication between my Rheumy and the Thoracic Surgeon.I have Valley Fever.Caused Nodules in my lungs. One bigger than a golfball was removed but the other 2 were not .So biologics are out of the question and now the pain and swelling is horrendous.

I knew one day my guitar playing would come to a halt but not like this.Being I have been in severe pain for over 23 yrs,I am tolerant to all heavy meds, they could not control my pain after the lung surgery,so looking at another one is not something I can get my head around just yet.

I had to give up my Casita in the foothills of the Catalina Mtns( OH so incredibly beautiful)and move in with family.I have no children and never been married.

I don't want to become a burden to my sister ,so before I do I need to start looking for a assisted living apt.BUT...I shall not get down,I shall not get depressed. That is not who I am.No matter the pain,I awake, and I thank God. ...SkyeHawk Cool

Skye, welcome to our group. I DO hope that you'll feel at home here. I think everyone is very warm and welcoming, and understanding. We share similar experiences, frustrations, feelings, and thoughts.. its a very deep bond and important common thread. As you know, and live, unless you have RA you can never really know what it's like to have it. That's why this group of people is so great. You can share whatever (literally) is on your mind, and you'll still feel as welcome as you always did. Its important for us to have an outlet, because so often others just do not understand us... or even want to.

I hope that the infectious disease dr is able to help you find a solution to your medication/nodule issues. You need to find some relief to that misery. You'll have to keep us posted about your appointments and hopefully some treatments you'll be trying Smile

We'll be looking forward to seeing you on here often Smile

Karen

You lived in the Catalina Mountains? That is my name! Smile How is it there?

The information you find in this website should not replace medical advise. I am happy to share my experience but remember I am just a patient like you.

If it was BIG enough, you could have made it the RA Mountain Castle...

just for all of us who have a place to finally meet each other face

to face. So sorry you had to give it up. I have found terrific

friends on this site......so glad you jumped aboard our fun wagon

to share, vent, laugh and live.
