Following Roy's great advice i thought we could get our sleeves up and personalize our group. Apparently the sky is the limit! (as long as it is reasonable Wink )

We could begin deciding what we want our group description to be. See the lines underneath the Rheumatoid Arthritis Support Group title? The default one reads: "A community of patients, family members and friends dedicated to dealing with Rheumatoid Arthritis, together"

So what do you thing friends? Do we like it like it is? Do we want to change it somehow? It would have to be same length +- and welcoming.

I agree. The Fibromyalgia support page has headings we could incorporate like:

1) RA and relationships: The place to share how RA is affecting your relationships and how your special ones are dealing with it.

2) RA and Family:Have a family? kids? This is the place to share how Fibromyalgia is affecting your house. How things changed & the problems the kids are facing because of it. Positive and heart warming stories are NEEDED Wink

3) RA resources: Share your RA resources and links. Spammers - stay away! your posts will be deleted immediately!

Please let Cata know what your suggestions are....

I like your ideas Karen! The headings would be about subjects that keep coming back to the discussion here. So let's see: family and friends support (or lack of it) which includes how difficult it is to explain to healthy people what RA is and how it affects you; RA friendly fashion Wink ; RA and job issues; Living aids; research resources; recipes; inspiring stories.... I'm throwing ideas out there, tell me what you like and what ideas you have and we can trim it together afterwards.

As for the group heading i like it as it is: "A community of patients, family members and friends dedicated to dealing with Rheumatoid Arthritis, together". Do you?

Yes Cata I do like the heading as it is.. it well rounded.. I like the living aids area too because there are many places that sell assistive devices or clothing that help out. How do we go about setting up the new subject areas?

First i want to give a warm welcome to our new group leader, Kvnj! *round of applause* Smile

Also i wanted to pick up the subject of remodeling our site where i left it before dreaded exam period.

We were talking about adding new titles to the forums descriptions. Besides the existing ones we could add:

1) RA and relationships, family and friends: The place to share how RA is affecting your relationships with your loved ones and how they are dealing with it.

2) RA and your job: The place to share your worries and advise about RA in the workplace. To keep working or go for disability, how to protect yourself from being fired, your relationships with bosses and co-workers, etc.

3) RA resources: Share your RA resources and links. Spammers - stay away! your posts will be deleted immediately!

4) RA and living aids: The place to talk about assistive devices that can make our lives much easier.

I would love to know what you think and whether you like it so we proceed to set it up....

Thanks Cata and Donna... I appreciate your support.

Cata, those sound like great topics, especially since we already touch on some of them already anyway.
