Oh yea, probiotics are a must. I try to take mine when I figure the antibiotics are at their lowest level in my system. I do think it helps. If you want, you can get a prescription strength one. I take VSL #3 and it is pretty expensive, even with insurance. You can get non prescription strength on the internet from their site. It's still pretty much the strongest stuff around! I had to take it b/c of colitis. good luck. I used to get yeast infections on day 2 of antibiotics but now that I take VSL regularly, I don't get them.

Thanks ladies for all your input. I came up with yet another yeast infection last week and a double ear infection to boot! I did stop the Doxy 2 weeks ago due to this recurrent problem. I also bought the probiotics and took them around noon (I take morning pills with breakfast) and dr put me on 3 different kinds of antibiotics for both my infections for a week. Finally I seem to have gotten rid of both at last. But I will not go back to the Doxy I took it for 4 months out of the 6 I was supposed to take them for. I know it's only 2 more months but I'm not willing to go thru this again.
