New to this sight. Have been taking sulfasalazine for two weeks without any side effects. Am now up to two per day. Take it after meals and with a full glass of water. Hope this one works. Was on plaquinyl for 3 months with little improvement.

Welcome Nittanyloin7,

I am so glad the med is working for you. Still trying to find the one that I can take without getting sick or breathing problems. Is the med helping with the symptoms. Have no idea what he will put me on on 7/2. Arava was what I have been on until yesterday for less than a month. Major stomach problems that had me doubled over. Two days later with dexelant it is somewhat better. I look forward to hearing how you are doing and maybe will ask about it myself.

Welcome to the forum..I have been taking plaquenil for 5mths & sulfasalazine was added last mth as little improvement on plaq alone. I have had no side effects & I take 1 in morning & 1 at night with meals & glass of water. Hope it works for you & gives you some relief.

I took it but was apparently allergic to it. That is not a typical result for anyone. I am the .1% that is allergic to everything. Anyway my suggestion would be to take it with a probiotic and eat greek yogurt if you like yogurt. I have some meds I take where I double up on the probiotic when I take them or else I get upset tummy. Good Luck! O- I like nature's finest probiotic because it has the highest number of "bugs"
