I have been in remission and off both the enbrel [which finally did it] and methotrexate for 2 and 1 year respectively. I have taken minocin 20mg 3 times per week [very low dose] for 5 years subscribing tothe theory that it could be virally/bacterially induced]. I take mega doses of vitaminC slow release and all sorts of other vitamins!lots of OMega 3

BUT..in the lastfew weeks I am feeling twinges and am TERRIFIED it..the monster..is starting to flare. I have been told of the H2O2 IV as being good..has anyone been treated for RA in this way?

This is urgent as I need to make a decision now before it takes hold of me again.

many thanks for your help

Sandy

Welcome Sandypots,

I am so glad to hear from someone in remission. I do understand the panic of returning pain. Live in pain daily but the thought of going backwards is just more than my brain can process. I have never heard of the IV treatment so have no idea what to tell you. Some of the others may have.

Hi sandy.

I have never heard of H202 therapy. When I Google it, it appears to be a homeopathic remedy. If you're going to go that route, I recommend Granny's tonic (moonshine, Jack Daniels, or a stiff, Southern bourbon) or something similar. It will provide short term pain relief and works as a sleep aid. Unfortunately Granny's tonic does nothing to stop or slow the progression of RA.

You say that Enbrel and MTX worked for you? Is there some reason you don't want to take them, or can't take them again?

...but you're not recommending that intravenously, right?? Blink

Hey, why not? Tongue

Of course that would take all the fun out of it.

That's the problem with remission. If you don't keep taking the meds that put you there, it will probably come back. How does the intravenous stuff work? What physical things are occuring when you take it? In my opinion, the intravenous hydrogen peroxide is not likely to work. Hopefully, it doesn't cause any problems.

Let us know what you decide and how it works, please.

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but IV hydrogen peroxide sounds dangerous!!! If it was meant to be taken internally, it would say it on the bottle....

Sandypots, I think I remember reading about this at the roadback site. Go there and do a search for hydrogen peroxide therapy. I know it was mentioned but couldn't steer you to the correct thread. www.roadback.org
