I saw my Rheumy. It was my first time back seeing him since I was diagnosed three months ago. He said that he can see progress with the line of treatment I'm currently enduring (methotrexate (three), folic acid, prednisone and ibuprophen). My blood tests looked pretty good, so he up'd the mtx to six (yuck). He thinks in a few months I'll be feeling much better.

Phew -- how nice to hear something encouraging! Of course, three months of dealing with RAD has taught me not to be over-confident! Still, I'll cherish and hold close all the positives that come my way!

Anne, this certainly is encouraging news!

A review study found that mtx has a success rate of 39%-80% (depending on a lot of different factors). Let's hope you're one of those, and that the increase goes without a hitch.
