Title says it all. Good but sad at the same time.

I'm glad because it means that with each new member, awareness of RAD is spreading!! More people to go out and enlighten others, to advocate for new and better treatment, and to share their experiences.

And I'm glad there are 1000 of us supporting each other in this. If I have to have RA, I'm grateful not to have it alone.

I don't know what to say. I started out thinking about how if our numbers keep increasing we'll change the world - make it more RA friendly. Then i thought about how much information there would be from 1000 people with the same health issues. But mostly i get warm and fuzzy knowing there are 999 caring souls going thru dealing with the blasted disease with me. Yes - if we have to have this, lets deal with it together.

All I can say is WOW 1000 people!!!! I agree with Bearlie...it's nice to know that there are a lot of other people going through the same thing & that we are not fighting this alone Laughing

I know that I have become better informed from being on this forum .

Just out of boredom I took a look at the members. The first name I recognized was Cella, 2008. And she is still here today!

I went to the Arthritis Foundation site and joined their Advocacy group. Even with the ADA act there is still a major problem trying to interact with the world. With RA we most often have to retreat from the world because we can't keep up, to painful, or most often the businesses are not equiped for us. This s something we all have to work at together.
