Some of mine:

bacon frying

coffee brewing

biscuts baking

roast beef and gravy slowly baking in oven

apple pie baking

yeast rolls baking

chocolate cake baking

pecan pie baking

chocolate chip cookies baking

hearty soups/stews simmering

cornbread baking

green beans/ham hock simmering

milk gravy when the flour browns

spaghetti sauce thick and rich simmering

fried chicken

etc.

etc.

etc....

Reading your list and thinking yes, yes, oh YES, YES YES!!!

Now I realize I'm hungry! Tonight I'm making a tomato-garlic-saffron-fennel-lemon fish stew with cod and shrimp. Time to get it rolling.

Too bad computers don't have a scratch and sniff feature!

No mention of cognac. One of my fav ingredients.

I adore alcohol infused foods. From main dishes to sides to desserts.

I usually add dry sherry to my seafood dishes.

Cognac to anything apple.

White wine or champange to chicken.

Red wine to beef.

And I have several dishes that require whiskey, vodka, tequila, brandy, or bourbon, etc.

Funny, we don't care for the taste of alcohol in a glass yet love it in foods.

Anything that smells like vanilla,

banana bread baking

cinnamon swirl loaf baking

orange ginger chicken baking

meatloaf baking

anything chocolate baking-chocolate chip cookies,cake

coffee brewing

bacon frying

duck baking slowly

croissants/biscuits baking

roast beef slowly baking,gravy
